Contact Us

The best way to find out about the club is to visit us and meet some members.

The club is open on Sundays during terms 4 and 1 from 8.30am until about 4pm.

Our club is run by volunteers, so if your query cannot answered by the frequently asked questions (FAQs) and you’ve had a good look through the website, then send us a message and we will get back to you, hopefully within a couple of days.

Membership at VA12SC

Club Membership at VA12SC

Membership at VA12SC is a great experience and lots of fun. We spend our days sailing on one of the best harbours in the world. But we are a volunteer run club, and members are expected to get involved and contribute some of their time to the smooth running of the club. In the end, we feel everyone gets more out of their time at the club by contributing and being a part of the VA12SC team.

Being a member of VA12SC entitles you to take part in club sailing and social activities, and either store your boat in our shed or charter one of the club boats.

Once your membership application has been accepted you’ll be taken through a New-Member induction to explain how the club works, the sailing pathway and the ways you can get involved as a volunteer.

Member Responsibilities

Volunteering is a big part of the culture at VA12SC. We are a volunteer driven club, where the running of the club only happens thanks to the time and effort of our members. All members are expected to contribute to the operation and development of the club. We do not have paid staff who look after the club, run the kitchen or clean up after us.

As an active sailing club, and sailing school, there is plenty of work to do, and there are lots of ways for members to contribute.

Take a look at our volunteering page to learn about some of the ways you can help out.
