The club is open on Sundays during terms 4 and 1 from 8.30am until about 4pm.

Our club is run by volunteers, so if your query cannot answered by the frequently asked questions (FAQs) and you’ve had a good look through the website, then send us a message and we will get back to you, hopefully within a couple of days.

Committed to delivering outstanding sailing experiences, our club is very reliant on the generous volunteering efforts of our members.

For those new to the club, taking on a volunteer role is a fantastic way to get to know other members - and to have a lot of fun!

To make it easy to get involved we have clearly defined volunteer roles:

  • On the water (start boat, safety boat)

  • On the beach (assisting with rigging, launch and landing)

  • On the deck (launching and maintaining our fleet of RIBs)

  • Around the building (the running repairs any clubhouse needs)

  • In the canteen (keeping the hungry sailors fed and watered!)

To register for volunteering please fill out this quick form below and let us know how you’d like to help!

Working Bee – Sunday 22nd June

At VA12SC, sailing is more than just a sport—it’s a tradition, a community, and a shared passion that’s been passed down since 1926. As a not-for-profit, volunteer-run association, we rely on the support and involvement of our members to maintain the club and keep that legacy strong.

Each year, we host two pre-season Working Bees to prepare the clubhouse and grounds for the start of the sailing season in September. These days are essential to ensure our facilities are clean, safe, and fully operational.

Our first Working Bee for 2025 is scheduled for Sunday, 22nd June.

Whether you’re a long-time member or new to the club, we warmly invite you to join us. It’s a great opportunity to:

  • Connect with fellow members

  • Contribute to the upkeep of our shared space

  • Support the club in a meaningful, hands-on way

No prior experience is necessary—just bring a willingness to pitch in. Many hands make light work, and your help ensures we can continue investing in training, equipment, and ongoing maintenance for the benefit of current and future sailors.

🛠️ As a thank you for your time and effort, the club will host a BBQ at the end of the day. It’s a great way to relax, enjoy some good food, and celebrate our collective effort together.

Please add your details below if you are planning to come! We truly appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you there!
