VA12SC Head of the Harbour Regatta. This Sunday!

Robert Ugarte

Hi All,

Our club is hosting the 2019 VA12SC Head of the Harbour Regatta on Sunday 1st December 2019.

This is a regatta for Sabot 1-Ups and 2-Ups.

It is suitable for all skill levels and will be a great preparation for the Winning Appliances 56th Sabot Nationals Regatta and the Shipway Sabot week which will be held at our club on Jan 3rd – Jan 7th 2020.

For the Learn to sail kids you can also participate in the Green Fleet racing. We will set an easy course and coach you around it!

You will be guaranteed to have some fun!

Find out about the regatta by following this link

How do I enter?

It’s easy, jump online and register or come on in on the day and pay your registration fee.

We look forward to seeing you all

Countdown to the Nationals!

Robert Ugarte

It’s only 42 days until we host the

Winning Appliances 56th National Sabot Championships

&

Shipway Family Sabot week

We have an action-packed programme from now until the nationals. We want to make it as fun as possible for you and your budding sailors. We have lots of sailing planned and I urge anyone who might be interested in competing in a regatta to join up now as it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to be involved in a nationals regatta without leaving home!

SABOT_NATIONALS.jpg

Team Vaucluse will probably have about 10 boats in the nationals. I encourage any of our learn to sail students and new members to enter the Shipway Family Sabot week for a fantastic, safe, life-changing experience and lots of fun.

If you are not sure if your child is ready then see how they go over the next few weeks. There are plenty of practice days between now and then!

So please download our spring calendar here and stick it on the fridge.

The final lead up starts now.

Fire up the kids! (bribe them if you have to)

Do whatever it takes because you will not regret it.

Let’s make our club proud.

Go Team Vaucluse!

Kitchen Under Construction

Robert Ugarte

Dear Members,

As some of you know, we were able to secure a grant to update our kitchen facilities - how lucky are we!

The renovations are well underway, however, the kitchen won’t be usable until October.

So, please, BYO food and beverages for the next few weeks when you are at the clubhouse.

The lovely Fiona Nearn and Sasha Paul have agreed to head up our beloved canteen so keep an eye out for the canteen roster to sign up and ensure all our young sailors are fed!

Many thanks and here’s to a great season ahead!

Father's Day Cup this Sunday

Robert Ugarte

This weekend we celebrate Father’s Day at the VA12SC with the Father’s Day Cup!

Come down for a BBQ Breakfast from 9 am then make Dad proud out on the water.

As usual there will be a briefing for Sabots at 9.30 am The starters gun will fire at 11.

Flying 11s and Cherubs will follow on in the afternoon.

It’s the first day of Spring and the weather looks great so lets all get the new season off to a great start.

See You There!
